Since reviews aren’t public on itch, I’ll post this as a comment too:

This is probably my favourite puzzle game of all I’ve played, and I’ve played a lot. There’s a few that I really really liked, but if you ask me for only a single suggestion, this is it. And I have suggested it many times indeed.

The concept is so unique, the subtle humour perfectly matches the game’s vibe, and the mechanics make for a really interesting and mind-bending experience. Being a programmer surely helps with understanding the game’s quirky concepts but is in no way a requirement and you can enjoy it anyway. If you like your brain being fried a little in the process that is :)

Thanks for this gem portponky!

I discovered this game / gem some years ago through a super interesting (French) article* about it, and was wondering why it was not on your itch.io account. Glad you put it here! :) Two questions, though:

  1.  Philosophical: why now?
  2. Technical/Moral: is this game sold with a percentage to itch.io or not? (I have a beef against some moral/ideological stances of the website, and probably other people do. This is not nitpicking, for once.)

I made some minor individual-level publicity for this game, which probably deserves more recognition. Maybe this comment will add its tiny weight to it!

* For the (French-speaking or auto-translating or having a French-speaking acquaintance) curious, here it is.

PS: and also glad there is a Linux version, I forgot to say. (:

Hi, thanks for your comment.

I put it up now because it was asked for on my discord. It was a request that popped up now and again, so I was already motivated to do it at some point.

There is a 10% cut to itch.io. I think that's fair for the hosting, though I understand that in this era there are many reasons to be careful where support is given. I encourage players to factor this into their decisions.

Thanks for the article - I find it very humbling that people write so kindly about my work.
